Better World

Silver Eagle Beverages works collectively with Anheuser-Busch and local partners to implement several community based initiatives, including alcohol awareness and education programs and employee volunteer efforts, to help create a Better World.

Our Better World Pillars: Responsibility, Community Impact, and Safety.

Responsibility

  • We I.D. is how Silver Eagle Beverages works with retail and event partners to promote responsible serving and the prevention of sales to minors.
  • The Good Sport program is designed to promote responsible behavior by sports fans and also encourages fans to have a safe ride plan. In 2019, through the Silver Eagle Beverages Good Sport program, nearly 5,000 people pledged to have a safe ride plan by using a ride share, taking public transportation, using a designated driver or being a designated driver!
  • Family Talk helps parents facilitate talks with their children about underage drinking, respecting the law and making good choices, from a young age through college.
  • Rideshare programs are designed to curb drunk driving through safe rides; for example, Silver Eagle Beverages’ partnership with Lyft provides consumers with discounted Lyft rides to and from events and home from bars for adults 21 years of age and older.

Community Impact

Silver Eagle Beverages is committed to making a difference in the communities where we live and work and we proudly support more than 300 different charitable organizations throughout our 13-county territory.

Among the charitable organizations we support are San Antonio Food Bank, The DoSeum, The Children’s Shelter, Del Rio Chamber of Commerce, Atascosa County Livestock Show, San Antonio Riverwalk Association, San Antonio Sports, San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, San Antonio Zoo, and San Felipe-Del Rio CISD Education Foundation.

We also have a strong commitment to supporting our country’s military, military families, and veterans. Silver Eagle Beverages partners with many local charities that support our men and women in uniform. Some of the military focused charities we support include Folds of Honor Foundation, Heroes Sports, and Project MEND.

Safety

Employees are our greatest asset and that is why safety is our top priority. A commitment to safety in all aspects of our business – from the warehouse to the road – is important to our success. We regularly conduct robust employee warehouse training, and we place a special emphasis on driver safety. All drivers must attend our best-in-class in-house driver training program, and our entire fleet of more than 250 delivery trucks and company vehicles is outfitted with in-vehicle safety monitoring systems.
